FALCONS CAPTURE SEVENTH STRAIGHT MEN'S TENNIS
CHAMPIONSHIP

Concordia University won all nine
individual championships to capture its seventh straight Lake Michigan
Conference Men's Tennis Championship at Kohler Sports Core. The Falcons,
which also won all of its LMC conference matches during the regular season,
totaled 33 points in the event.
Lakeland College took second place with 13
points, edging out third place Milwaukee School of Engineering which had 12
points. Marian College rounded out the standings with eight points.
Concordia's Ira Meiling, which won the #1
Singles championship and teamed up with Aaron Hoeppner to win the #1 Doubles
championship was named Lake Michigan Conference player of the year. Matt
Rutlin of Lakeland College was named LMC rookie of the year, and took third
place in both the #1 Singles and #1 Doubles championships. Concordia's Tom
Weber was named Lake Michigan Conference coach of the year.
