Week #4, May 3, 1994
Anne Gross, So, P, Sullivan, WI - Marian College
Gross upped her LMC record to a perfect 8-0 by winning two games last week.
Against Cardinal Stritch she went 7 innings giving up 5 hits and 3 runs while
striking out 5. In Marian's victory over Concordia Gross went 7 innings again
allowing 1 earned run of 5 hits. Her ERA for the week was 2.00. She also had 5
hits in 8 at bats, driving in 2.
Angie Fisher, Jr, C, Mount Calvary,
WI - Mount Mary College
FIsher hit .417 (5 for 12) in four games last week. She led Mount Mary in a come
from behind victory over Cardinal Stritch as she hit doubles in the sixth and
seventh innings knocking in two and scoring the winning run.
Week #3, April 26, 1994
Staci Fietzer, So, P, Hortonville, WI - Marian College
Fietzer was 2-2 last week with wins over MSOE and Lakeland College. Against MSOE
she recorded a school-record 18 strikeouts. The next day she gave the Muskies
thier first loss of the season, striking out 11 more batters.
Joy Vertz, Jr, SS, Livonia, MI -
Wisconsin Lutheran College
In six games last week Vertz colleted 13 hits in 24 at bats (.542 BA) with 4
home runs, 3 triples, and 11 RBIs. She scored 12 times with 3 stolen bases,
while making 11 putouts and 16 assists.
Week #2, April 19, 1994
Becky Scheberl, Fr, SS, Lomira, WI - Marian College
Scheberl went 5-5 with 2 homeruns and a triple in Marian's 29-1 win over Mount
Mary College. In the two games she was 6-8 (.750) with 4 RBIs.
Becky Patt, So, P/SS, North Fond du
Lac, WI - Edgewood College
In the first game of a doubleheader with Maranatha Baptist, Patt hurled a
no-hitter to pace the Eagles to an 18-0 victory. She also drive in 4 runs on a
triple and 2 walks. In the second game she also had 4 RBI on 3 walks and scored
three times as well.
Week #1, April 12, 1994
Anne Sonnabend, Jr, 3B, Brillion, WI - Wisconsin Lutheran College
Sonnabend led the Warriors to a 4-0 start by hitting .750 (9-12) with 2 home
runs, 5 RBIs, 8 runs scored and 2 walks. She also had 5 stolen bases.
Andrea Caporale, So, 3B, Valparaiso,
IN - Mount Mary College
Caporale helped the Crusaders win their first ever Lake Michigan Conference game
last week as Mt. Mary eared a split with MSOE. Caporale hit .571 (4-7) with a
home run a triple, and two singles in the doubleheader with the Red Raiders.
