2004 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

October 25-31
Amanda Rhyner of Edgewood College
…Freshman…Forward…Delivan, Wis. (Delivan-Darien High School)
Rhyner tallied two goals in Edgewood's 3-0 shutout over MSOE in a LMC Tournament quarterfinal game.

October 18-24
Amanda Smith of Lakeland College
…Senior…Forward…Neenah, Wis. (Neenah High School)
Smith set the Lakeland College all-time scoring mark with her 89th career goal in a 4-1 win over Marian College on October 20. On Saturday, she scored a goal and assisted on the game winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Edgewood. Lakeland (10-7, 5-1 LMC) finishes off the LMC regular season vs. Alverno today.

October 11-17
Daria Klotz of Concordia University
…Sophomore…Goalkeeper…Fort Wayne, Ind. (Concordia Lutheran High School)
Klotz shutout two more conference opponents last week, keeping her perfect 0.00 goals against average in conference play. The Falcons defeated MSOE, 4-0, and Lakeland, 1-0. She totaled seven saves in the two games last week. Concordia is 9-6-1 overall, and 4-0-1 in the LMC, tied with Edgewood for first place.

October 4-10
Brittany Labno of Edgewood College
…Freshman…Goalkeeper…Madison, Wis. (Madison LaFollette High School)
Labno began the week with a 16-save performance at Concordia, where Edgewood and the Falcons tied 0-0. She then helped the Eagles (8-3-2, 2-0-1 LMC) defeat Marian College, 3-1. Labno's goals against average was 0.48 for the week.

September 27-October 3
Vickie Georgekas of Milwaukee School of Engineering
…Freshman…Midfielder…Greenfield, Wis. (Whitnall High School)
The rookie midfielder scored four goals in the Raiders' two victories last week. Georgekas scored the game winning goal in MSOE's 4-3 win over Ripon College on Sept. 29. She then had a hat trick in a 5-0 win over LMC foe Alverno College on Oct. 2. MSOE is riding a six-game winning streak with a 6-5 overall record, including 1-0 in the LMC.

September 20-26
Amanda Rhyner of Edgewood College
…Freshman…Forward…Delavan, Wis. (Delavan-Darian High School)
Rhyner tallied both goals in Edgewood's 2-2 double-overtime tie with North Park University on Sept. 21. She followed that performance with another two goals in a 3-0 win over Benedictine University on Sept. 24, giving the freshman forward her fourth multi-goal game of the season in just seven games played. The Eagles are 5-3-1 on the season.

Bethany Hoeppner of Concordia University
…Senior…Forward…Watertown, Wis. (Watertown High School)
The senior forward scored four goals in the Falcons’ two wins this past week. Hoeppner recorded a hat trick scoring all three Falcon goals in a 3-0 win over Dominican University. Later in the week, she scored a goal in a 3-0 victory over North Park University.

Alexandra Salisbury of Alverno College
...Freshman...Forward...Milwaukee, Wis. (Thomas More High School)
Salisbury scored a school record 4 goals in her first collegiate start for the Inferno. Alverno (1-0) defeated Lincoln Christian College 5-0 in the season opener.
