1991-92 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Week #7, Feb. 23, 1992
Leading her team to a pair of big LMC wins as they close in on a conference title, Concordia University's Livija Mende is this week's LMC Player of the Week. The outstanding 6'2 freshman from Riga, Latvia, was 11 of 19 from the field, including one of three from three-point range, five for seven at the line and grabbed nine rebounds in the Falcons' 78-65 win at Marin College. Medne also played a major role in Concordia's 74-69, come-from-behind victory at home versus Lakeland College. It is her second Player of the Week honor this season.

Week #6, Feb. 16, 1992
This week's LMC Player of the Week honor goes to Lakeland College's Ann Harteau. Harteau led her Muskies to a pair of LMC wins last week, an 80-63 win at Silver Lake and an 63-34 win at Maranatha Baptist. A 5'8 senior forward from Felch, Mich., Harteau shot 23-44 from the field in three games, 30 of 38 from the free throw line, grabbed 40 rebounds and had six assists. The third game last week was a tough 71-64 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran in which she had 26 points and 18 rebounds.

Week #5, Feb. 9, 1992
This week's LMC Player of the Week honor goes to Renee Kietzmann of Wisconsin Lutheran College. Recently becoming WLC's all-time leading scorer, Kietzmann scored 30 points as her Warriors nearly pulled off the upset of the season as they fell at Concordia University, 97-83, after leading at halftime. Kietzmann, a 5'8 senior from Beaver Dam, Wis., (Watertown Northwestern Prep High School) was six of 17 from the floor, three of six from three-point range and an incredible 15 of 17 from the free throw line.
