In Concordia’s four LMC tournament games, Ebert was 7-15 (.467) at the plate
including 3 runs scores, 3 RBIs, and a triple. Ebert also had a .667 slugging
%, and .529 OB%.
Jami Kaul of Concordia University
…Senior…RF…Hustisford, WI (Hustisford High School)
Kaul hit .462 (6-13) in the tournament. He had 4 doubles, 3 runs, and an RBI
to go along with his 10 total bases for a .529 OB%, and a .769 slugging %.

Andy Steffen of Concordia University

Steffen won or saved each game CUW won in the tournament. He had a 3-0 week,
including a save in 13.2 innings pitched. His opponents hit just .191 against
him, as he compiled a 3.29 ERA, and had 9 Ks.
Luke Knuppenburg of Concordia University
…Junior…P…Crestwood, KY (Crestwood High School)
In 11 innings pitched, Kuppenburg’s opponents hit just .171 and struck out 8
times. He had a 1.64 ERA and a save in the tournament.
Brandon Marolf of Concordia University
…Senior…P…Seattle, WA (Green River C.C.)
His 1.23 ERA in 7.1 innings pitched was good enough for a 1-0 record in the
LMC tournament.
Concordia captured the Lake Michigan Conference
tournament title on Sunday, and qualified for the NCAA Division III
tournament. The tournament schedule will be release Monday, May 17 by the
NCAA.

Thomas Hoppert of Milwaukee School of
Engineering
…Junior…RF…Sheboygan, WI (Sheboygan South High School)
Hoppert led the Raiders in batting with a .700 average (7-10) which included 1
double, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs. He added 3 stolen bases, a .800 slugging
percentage, and a .700 on-base percentage as the Raiders went 2-1 last week.
MSOE completed their season (7-33, 5-13 LMC) completed their season last night
with a close 5-4 loss to Marian College in a LMC tournament play-in game.

Kaul led the Falcons to a 3-0 record last week as he hit .769 (10-13) from the
plate. His 10 hits included 3 doubles, 1 HR, 4 runs, and 12 RBIs. Kaul also
had a .786 OB% and 1.230 slugging percentage. The Falcons (17-16, 10-8 LMC)
defeated WLC 11-5 in a LMC tournament play-in game last night.

Kyle Nelson of Milwaukee School of Engineering
…Freshman…P…Deerfield, WI (Deerfield High School)
Nelson allowed no earned runs and gave up only 4 hits in 6.1 innings pitched
in a victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College last week. He walked only 2 and
struck out 7 in the win. MSOE completed their season (7-33, 5-13 LMC)
completed their season last night with a close 5-4 loss to Marian College in a
LMC tournament play-in game.

Hitters of the Week
Adam Rohlinger
of Concordia University
…Sophomore…CF…West Bend, WI (West Bend East High School)
The sophomore hit .474 including a .583 OB% as the Falcons went 2-2 last week.
While at the plate, Rohlinger knocked in 8 runs, scored 5 himself, hit 2
doubles, and 1 HR. He also swiped 3 bases in the four games. Concordia is
13-16 overall and 7-8 in the LMC.
Travis Krahn of Edgewood College
…Senior…3B…Rochester, MN (Rochester Mayo High School)
Krahn hit .583 in the Eagles' three-game series against Marian College.
Although Marian boasts one of the top pitching staffs in the LMC, Krahn 7-12
with 6 runs, a pair of doubles, and three walks. Krahn's slugging percentage
was a team-high .750, while his on base percentage was .643. He went a perfect
3-3 against Marian in game one of a doubleheader on April 24 and was 3-6 in
game two. Krahn currently boasts a 20-game hitting streak. The Eagles are
24-15 overall and 13-5 in the LMC.

Steve Plucinski of Lakeland College
…Junior…RHP…Mundelein, IL (Mundelein High School)
Plucinski threw a 9-inning no-hitter versus MSOE last Thursday. In the game,
he struck out 13 and walked only 3 in the 1-0 victory. The Muskies are 20-15
overall and 14-1 in the LMC, clinching a share of their fourth consecutive LMC
title.

Brett Anschutz of Lakeland College
…Sophomore…Utility…Baileys Harbor, WI (Gibraltar High School)
The sophomore went 12-30 at the plate for a .400 average last week. In the
Muskies’ nine games, he compiled 15 RBIs, 8 runs, 2 doubles and 3 homeruns.
Anschutz’s best performance came in the last game of the week where he went
3-5, with 7 RBIs, and 2 HRs, one of which was a grand slam. The Muskies are
17-15 overall and a league best 11-1 in the LMC.

Steve Plucinski of Lakeland College
…Junior…Pitcher…Mundelein, IL (Mundelein High School)
Plucinski accumulated a 1-1 record in two starts on the mound last week with a
1.38 ERA. The ace had two 14-K games versus UW-Stevens Point and Concordia
University, respectively. In a loss versus Point, he allowed just 6 hits, and
one earned run, while walking just one batter. Versus LMC foe Concordia, he
allowed just 3 hits and one earned run, walking just one batter again, in the
3-1 complete game win. Opponents hit just .188 while facing Plucinski. The
Muskies are 17-15 overall and a league best 11-1 in the LMC.
Dave Scheidell of Edgewood College
…Junior…Pitcher…Milton, WI (Milton High School)
The southpaw was a perfect 2-0 on the mound for the Eagles last week.
Scheidell gave up just three hits and had six strikeouts in a 7-1 complete
game victory over Loras on April 12. Scheidell followed that performance with
a 15-3 decision at MSOE on April 17. Against the Raiders, he struck out seven
and allowed four hits in 6.1 innings of work. The Eagles are currently 21-13
overall and 11-4 in the Lake Michigan Conference.

Dan Nordling of Milwaukee School of Engineering

Nordling’s presence at the plate led the Raiders to a 2-2 record last week. He
went 5-10 for a .500 average and a .900 slugging percentage. His totals for
the week included 1 double, 1 HR, 3 RBIs, 2 runs, and a stolen base. The
Raiders are 5-23 overall and 3-5 in the LMC.
Ryan Klemko of Edgewood College
…Senior…OF…Burlington, WI (Westosha Central High School)
Klemko led Edgewood to a 2-1 record versus Concordia last week. Klemko batted
.600 (6-10) for the series. He went 2-for-3 with two doubles in the Eagles'
5-2 win over Concordia on Friday. On Saturday, he went a combined 4-7 at the
plate with a pair of stolen bases, giving him 21 swipes on the season and
setting a new Edgewood single-season stolen base record. Edgewood is currently
18-11 and 8-4 in the Lake Michigan Conference.

Kwiatowski’s record for the week was 1-1 as he pitched two complete games
versus LMC foes Maranatha and Marian. In the 2 two-hitters he threw, he had a
0.69 ERA (1 earned run), struck out 11 batters, walked 3, and held opponents
to a .085 batting average. The Raiders are 5-23 overall and 3-5 in the LMC.
Jason Bunton of Marian College
…Junior…P…Townsend, WI (Wabeno High School)
Bunton threw a complete game in a 4-2 defeat of MSOE, striking out 12 in 9
innings, walking none, and allowing just 1 earned run on 6 hits (ERA of 1.00
for the week). The 12 K's were just 1 off the school record of 13 as Bunton
won his fourth straight start on the season. The Sabres are 13-8 overall, and
7-2 in the LMC.

Travis Krahn of
Edgewood College
…Senior…3B…Rochester, MN (Mayo High School)
Krahn led Edgewood College to a 4-2 record last week by batting .478 in the
team's six games. Krahn's 11 hits included six doubles and a home run to go
along with a pair of stolen bases. On Friday, Krahn went a perfect 3-3 versus
Maranatha Baptist with the game winning RBI in the seventh inning of
Edgewood's 2-1 win over the Crusaders. Krahn scored four runs in
Edgewood's 35-7 rout of Maranatha earlier in the day. He currently leads the
Eagles with a seven-game hitting streak. The Eagles’ record stands at 15-9
overall and 6-3 in the LMC.

Steffel continues to be effective in relief, as he earned two wins in the week
while allowing no earned runs in 9.0 innings. The sophomore struck out 8,
walked just 2, and allowed only 3 hits (.107 opponents average). He had 5 Ks
in 2.1 innings versus WLC, and threw the final 5 innings of a 12-inning win
over Ripon, allowing no runs, and just 2 hits. After a 6-2 mark for the week,
the Sabres improve to 11-7 overall, and a league best 5-1 in the LMC.
Andrew Handorf of Edgewood
College
…Sophomore…RHP…DeForest, WI (DeForest High School)
Handorf hurled a two-hit, complete-game shutout Sunday in
Edgewood's 4-0 victory over
Lakeland College. Handorf
retired the last 11 batters he faced and the last hit he surrendered to the
defending LMC champions was in the top of the third inning. With the win,
Handorf improved to 2-0 on the mound with a 1.66 ERA.
Edgewood's record stands at 15-9 overall and 6-3 in the LMC.

The rookie went 3-10 last week with a triple and his first collegiate homerun.
Yet his biggest hit was an RBI game-winning single in a 3-2 win over Wisconsin
Lutheran College in the first game of a double-header on Saturday. The Eagles
are 2-2 in the LMC.
