Alwardt led the Falcons to their first LMC title in over a decade with two
complete pitching victories. In 13 innings of work, Alwardt allowed just 6 hits
and 3 earned runs while striking out 5. Al the plate, he hit .428 (6-14) with 7
RBIs, 3 doubles, and 2 homeruns. The Falcons ended Marian College's string of
nine consecutive championships in baseball.

Nate Weber, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Sr, CF, Arlington Heights, IL
Weber toted a blistering bat last week, tallying 13 hits in 20 at bats for a
.650 average, .696 on-base percentage, and a 1.100 slugging percentage. He also
had 12 RBIs, 6 runs, and one homerun while the Raiders went 4-2 in league play.
LMC Notables: WI Lutheran's Bob Krug hit .643
(9-14) with 5 runs scored while Warrior pitcher Dave bothe tossed a one-hitter
to defeat Marian 4-1...Mike Johnson (Concordia) was 15-25 with six runs scored
and 11 RBIs.

Coffman has propelled the Crusaders into a first place tie in the LMC by hitting
.562 over his first four games. He has amassed 9 hits and 9 runs batted in, both
totals are the second most in the league.

College to give the Sabres their first league loss in more than a year. In the
