For the week he hit .609 (14-23) with 9 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Over a two
game stretch that spanned double-headers with Marian and Northwestern College,

Manthey tossed a complete game four-hit shutout against MSOE last week. In 7
innings of work he had 8 strikeouts and only 2 walks. His fifth career shutout
set a new Lakeland school record.
Bob Manders, Marian College, Sr, 1B, Menomonee Falls, WI
In leading Marian to a 5-0 record last week, Manders bombed opposing pitching
for 9 hits in 16 at bats (.563). He collected 4 doubles, 2 homeruns, 9 RBIs amd
7 runs scored. While playing first base he had 34 put outs and no errors.
